Donald Joseph Qualls, better known as DJ Qualls is an American actor and producer as well as a fashion model. DJ Qualls became famous after his appearance of Road Trip. Since then, he has appeared in a total of 20 feature films, such for The New Guy Hustle & Flow or The Core. In addition, he has appeared in 22 TV shows including Breaking Bad Supernatural scrubs lost Law & Order etc. Qualls has been diagnosed at age 14 with Hodgkin lymphoma, is an extremely determined fighter. His cancer went into remission after two years. The treatment, however, at such an early stage had severe impact on his body and hindered his growth. As a child, he was familiar with being in poverty, and financial security seemed like his main goal. He has said that "I've lived a life of frugality for so long that I'm looking for financial security because otherwise things will get out of hand in my case." He also reflects on his youth and plans to tackle the problem of bullying. He says that cruelty breaks his heart. Both in real life and on screen, DJ would be thrilled to play a father. However, he acknowledges that directors don't have me as a character. One day he'd love to be a parent so the time he spends in his professional life to pay greater time with the child.
